I’ve been waiting for this moment. I signed my contract with my publisher in the early part of 2017. After almost two years of hard work and the ups and the downs of life, A New Way to Food is ready to share with you!
My next cookbook is inspired by how I learned to love me. It doesn’t mean that I love me all the time, each and every day, without question. It means, I spent decades hating myself, my skin, my bulging body, all the reasons I put food in my mouth… and now, I mostly love me and work hard to not let those negative feelings creep in when they’re not wanted.
And, people, they’re rarely ever wanted.
The cookbook is filled with more than 100 recipes that are mostly plant-based (and a few with animal protein) that helped me lose 70+ pounds, rid my body of joint pain, and see myself as a regular lady with dreams and purpose. I also included several long essays on how I reckoned my life as a fat girl to becoming a lady that’s just happy to be me.
The full title of the book is A New Way to Food: 100 Recipes to Encourage a Healthy Relationship with Food, Nourish Your Beautiful Body, and Celebrate Real Wellness for Life. I’m telling you all about it now because I do need a little bit of help from YOU.
Nowadays, the success of any new book is determined by pre-sales. If you plan on buying this cookbook when it releases in February, would you consider buying it now? A lot of pre-sales means that this cookbook will release with a lot more attention and eyes on it–which is really why I wrote it: to share this tough but (I hope) useful story with women around the world who should just accept themselves the way they are (and make healthier choices, when they can.)
