Howling winds. Bone-chilling temperatures. Snow-covered streets. Ah, glorious winter. I love everything about this season. There’s nothing I love more than cuddling up next to a roaring fire with something hot and comforting in my icy hands. Many happy memories can be found in a steaming cup of cocoa, coffee, or chamomile during a snowmaggedon, snowpocalypse, or even just a snowy day. And even if winter isn’t your cup of tea, you can’t deny that it is a great excuse to drink an actual cup of hot tea.
Since we have a few more weeks before spring has officially arrived, I decided to share a few of my favorite recipes for drinks to warm up even the coldest of days.
Apple Orange Hot Toddy: This twist on the classic cold-curing cocktail fills the whole house with warming and healing scents.
My Kinda London Fog: Earl grey tea plus steamy cashew milk with a bit of vanilla and honey makes for a mighty fine way to combat the cold.
Chai Hot Chocolate: Add a little spice to the traditional hot cocoa and get ready to cuddle in comfort.
Hot Apple Pie Cocktail: Add a spoonful of homemade hot buttered toddy mix to create a drink that is sure to make you melt.
Apothekers Bee-Sweetened Hot Chocolate: Classic hot cocoa is hard to beat, and this one in particular will always make my list for must-have winter drinks.
