Holidays can be stressful, but gift giving doesn’t have to be. We’ve turned to our favorite bloggers to find the very best handmade, edible gifts that are sure to make your season merry and bright. Keep an eye out as we will feature a new gift (or two) each week!

As the holi-daze arrive, I’m searching for things that are low on effort but big on reward. My Baking Additction’s Slow Cooker Apple Butter delivers on exactly those things—not to mention it’s a fantastic way to get the most out of apple season. This delicately spiced butter reminds me of when I first moved to New England (so very far away from my family on the West Coast) and how I found a new family of friends on an apple farm not far from Boston. Each bite takes me back to that orchard of apple trees perfect for picking on a crisp autumn afternoon. This simple spread is really like capturing the cozy goodness of a season in a jar.

My favorite part about this recipe, however, is how quickly it comes together. You literally add all ingredients to a slow cooker and just walk away. Ten hours later, you have a rich apple butter that makes a beautiful, seasonal gift for the ones you love.
