What We’re Loving: Summer Fruity Baked Treats

No Comments

So much fruit, so little time. Spending time grilling figs, wiping strawberry juice from the corner of my mouth, tossing blueberries into, well, everything makes me happy.  Ah, fresh summer fruit. We’re planning to highlight summer’s greatest asset in an upcoming series of posts on fruit crisps…until then, we’re loving these baked fruit desserts from some of our favorite food blogs:

We happen to know a few delicious local honeys, or even  Mike’s Hot Honey for a little kick, that would add a lovely drizzle on this very pretty Honey and Nectarine Galette. {from Oh My Veggies}

I love that Ree made just enough for one in these Individual Cherry Almond Crisps.  Not that there is any shame in going back for seconds…{from The Pioneer Woman}

At the end of this stunning recipe for a Peach and Blueberry Tart, Marjorie suggests the tart is best served the day it is made.  I would barely be able to let the blueberries tumble into place before cutting myself a (large) slice. {from The Cook’s Atelier}

Dear Bea, I will take one of your magical Cherry Tarts with Lime and Lemon Thyme in every size. {from La Tartine Gourmande}

This Grilled Cherry and Blueberry Galette was fired up in a cast iron skillet in the great outdoors!  I love cooking in cast iron and I love keeping the heat out of the kitchen on some of these very steamy summer days. {from Soup Addict}
