Introducing: Flower Sessions

I have a tiny project that I’ve wanted to share for a while. In fact, I’ve been considering exactly how to share this new project with you because it’s truly close to my heart. So pardon me while I preface it all…

Get excited because the next few months will be dotted with all sorts of Eat Boutique-hosted food events. We are in the final stages of Local Market planning and I hope to share a date with you very soon. We’re also planning a series of more intimate tasting events that will be open to a smaller group of food fans, a evening event where you can get a little  apéro with fellow food fans and food makers. Lastly… there are flowers.

I actually spent several years working in the flower business. Until starting Eat Boutique, those years were some of the most creative of my life. I learned so much about design, nature and why it’s crucial to have a little something beautiful around you every single day.

A single flower blossom or a textured leaf in a vase can transform your outlook and certainly transform your table. Along with one of my best friends, I’d like to share just how I incorporate flowers into my life. While indulging in some snacks and drinks crafted by yours truly, you’ll get a demonstration on basic flower design techniques and will put together your own signature designs.

Get further details on the Flower Sessions site and register on Eat Boutique. I hope you can join us! Until then, I wanted to share some photos from a little flower session of our own last month. You can see all the photos from our session on the Flower Sessions.

Now enough about me… How do YOU use flowers in your every day life?

All photos styled by Lise Pellegrin, Heidi Murphy and Maggie Battista. All photos taken by Heidi Murphy/White Loft Studio.

  • what a beautiful idea! my favorite are spring flowers in old wine bottles. currently: bright daffodils in an italian glass bottle and orange tulips in a huge white jug-makes me happy everyday:)

    • Rosalind, daffodils in an Italian glass bottle sound beautiful! we’re excited to share everyday techniques like that in this class. I am just in love with tulips right now – especially the frilly kind. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting today! xox Maggie

Lady, you amaze me.  These are gorgeous.  I love that you are starting a flower sessions.  I made a new years resolution that we would have flowers in the house every week, and so far it has happened.  Right now I am crazy for Ranunculus.

    • LOVE Ranunculus. They’ll be gone soon so enjoy! xox 🙂

  • Beatrice Peltre

I want these flowers Maggie. They are gorgeous and beautifully photographed, of course! 😉

    • YAY! Thanks, Bea. I wish I could take the credit – I picked out the product and helped with set-up. It was just a nice mix of pretty colors, a gorgeous design (Lise!) and beautiful photos (Heidi!), indeed. 🙂
